Club Range & Pond

Nature Awaits

Since its founding, MacDougall Sportsmen’s Club seeks to foster interest in fishing and shooting sports, provide encouragement to youth for the safe enjoyment of the outdoors, and embrace conservation. With separate shooting areas and a secluded stocked pond, members and their families are welcome to enjoy everything we have to offer year round.

Trap, Skeet, and Shooting Range

All of our shooting sport areas are separate and safely spaced to where shooters will not interfere with one another.

The range is always open for those that wish to get out and get some fresh air or maybe just to let off some steam. Please remember that there are regulations posted for use of the range and you must sign-in and out when utilizing this service.

TRAP FIELDS
Our grounds feature two separate two trap fields (a upper house and a lower house) for those interested. Wednesday evenings have been designated our Open Trap Night, so if anyone would like to practice or learn to shoot, this is the night!

SKEET FIELDS
We also have a dedicated skeet field and are in the process of adding another, which is slated to be completed in April.

SHOOTING RANGE
Our shooting range provides a large area where people can set up and shoot targets. With a wide range of 100 yards, shooters can set up targets anywhere in this area, and use shotguns, rifles, pistols, etc. Target holders are available for use, but shooters will need to supply their own targets ammunition.

Fishing & Swimming Pond

Our private pond is tucked back on our property where it is nice and secluded. Members and their families are welcome to use this area to camp, have cookouts, build small camp fires, swim, and fish.

The pond if fully stocked with large mouth bass, sunfish, and also grass carp to help keep the weeds down. The pond is fully maintained and we rake the pond of weeds to keep it beautiful.

Our pond area is shared with wildlife and many animals such as deer, beavers, red fox, and blue herons. We have also had deer and their fawns hang around throughout the year and it’s been a real joy to watch the fawns grow up to be adults right before our eyes.
